Góndola

Doña Edilma fue la única niña y la más pequeña de la familia; era muy contempla- da por todos. Tiene cuatro hijos en los Estados Unidos pero vive con su hijo Jimmy en Minnesota. Cuando murió su esposo en 2005 se vino para acá y se trajo su gondolita. Fue un regalo que el hermano menor de doña Edilma le había hecho a la madre de ambos una Navidad. Su madre la tenía expuesta en una mesita especial con dos floreritos mientras vivió. Hoy su nieta Jamie le dice “abuelita cuando usted vaya a regalarla se acuerde de mí.”

Doña Edilma was the only girl and the youngest of the family. She was loved and pampered by everyone. She has four children in the United States. When her husband died in 2005, she came to live with her son Jimmy in Minnesota. She brought with her a gondola souvenir. It was a present from doña Edilma’s younger brother to their mother for Christmas. Her mother loved that present so much she had it displayed on a little table with flowers when she was alive. Doña Edilma’s granddaughter wants to inherit it.
