Traje típico

1982 doña Bety mandó a sus hijos varones a Estados Unidos durante la Guerra en El Salvador por miedo a la represión del ejército. El mayor tenía 16 años cuando vinieron a reclutarlo. En los años 90, tras los acuerdos de paz, ella consiguió una visa para venir a visitarlos. Hoy es ciudadana y tiene a sus cuatro hijos consigo. Este traje típico tiene los símbolos patrios: el escudo y el color de la bandera: azul y blanco. Es de su nieta y se usa en presentaciones especiales o para el baile típico de El Salvador.

1982 doña Bety sent her sons to the United States during the war in El Salvador for fear of repression. The oldest was 16 years old when the Army came to recruit him. In the 90s, after the peace agreements, she got a visa to come visit them. Today she is a citizen and has her children with her. This typical costume has the national symbols: the coat of arms and the color of the flag: blue and white. It belongs to her grand-daughter and is used in special presentations or for the traditional dance of El Salvador.
