Doña Elvira wrote a journal. We don’t know if she wrote the story of the little casse- role. Nobody, not even her daughters have read her journal. When she was little she was the best student in her school. She wanted to become a secretary. But her family did not have the means. Doña Elvira has worked day and night to raise her daughters. Today she lives in Minnesota with one of them. Doña Elvira claims that she does not forget anything; as soon as she gets up she looks in her journal where she jots down everything.
