Pati era cantante profesional en su país de origen durante muchos años antes de venir a los Estados Unidos. Después del terremoto de 1985, había mucho dolor y sufrimiento en México y ella no tenía trabajo. Así que se vino aquí decidida a darle a sus tres hijos una buena educación. Le resultó difícil como inmigrante adaptarse a la nueva cultura y al inglés. Sus hijos le enseñaron a abrirse y amar su nuevo país. Hoy está feliz y orgullosa de poder representar sus raíces y la cultura mexicana con su voz y su música.

Pati was a professional singer in her home country for many years before coming to the United States. After the 1985 earthquake, México was hurting and she did not have work. She came here determined to give her three children a good education. As a new immigrant, it was really hard for her to adapt to the new culture and language. It was her children who taught her to open up and to love her new country. Now she is happy here and proud to be able to represent her Mexican roots and culture with her voice and her music.
